Taking Control of Your Mood

Taking Control of Your Mood is an 8 session depression and anxiety management group based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy ( CBT)

By the end of the group, you will learn:

  • The relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours
  • How to question, challenge and change problematic thoughts/beliefs
  •  Lifestyle changes to reduce depression and anxiety

Mindfulness Group – Adults

This group offers an introduction to the core concepts of mindfulness to strengthen the well-being, compassion, critical thinking and resilience. Class discussions, guided meditations and other tools will be used. Some of the topics include: connecting authentically, mind-body awareness, practicing gratitude, emotional intelligence and nurturing compassion.

Mood Walks

An 8 week program to support participants mental health through exposure to the healing effects of nature, participation in physical activity and socialization. We will be walking trails throughout York Region. This group is weather permitting and placed on hold over the winter months.
