The Markham FHT is once again offering the 50+ Wellness Program!
During this 75 min health-promotion and disease-prevention educational session, you will learn about your wellness needs after age 50, from our registered dietitian, clinical pharmacist, nurse practitioner, occupational therapist, social worker and registered nurse.
Topics include: dietary requirements after age 50, cancer screening tests, positive lifestyle changes, looking after your mental well-being, and much more!

Location: Aaniin Community Centre
This session runs just once per year, and space is limited. You may bring your spouse or friend/family member with you, but you must register and have your space confirmed before attending. Confirmation will take place by email.

Nutrition
Calcium: | Women – 1200 mg per day of elemental calcium (from all sources) | www.osteoporosis.ca |

Immunizations
Tetanus (Td): | booster every 10 years; one life-time dose of Adacel® (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) to replace one of the Td boosters; publicly funded |
Pneumovax: | for pneumonia protection. A one-time vaccination over the age of 65; publicly funded |
