Heart Smart Program
Program Flyer Heart Smart Information Sheet Jan 2018
Heart Smart is a group program designed by a Registered Dietitian that provides a dietary approach to lowering cholesterol and blood lipid levels. The session provides education and coaching in key areas such as dietary fat and cholesterol intake including omega-3 and trans fats, fiber, soy, supplements, exercise, alcohol, and eating out. The small group format (maximum 15 participants) is a great atmosphere to have your individual needs and concerns addressed. The dietitian is on hand 30 minutes before the class starts to help with weigh-ins and any one-on-one questions you may have.
The program is open to any patients who are registered with the Markham Family Health Team and are older than 18 years of age.
