Group Lifestyle Balance
Markham Family Health Team is pleased to offer you our Group Lifestyle Balance Program!
This program is designed for individuals who would like support and education on achieving weight reduction and increasing physical activity. The goals of the program are to lose 7% of your body weight and increase physical activity to 150 minutes per week.
Weekly topics include healthy eating, physical activity, problem solving, and more!
Do you Qualify?:
● 18 years of age or over
● Are interested in losing weight and reducing risk of type 2 diabetes and other chronic
● Can commit to attending most classes
This program focuses on intensive lifestyle intervention and is funded by the Ministry of Health, therefore has no direct cost to you.

Registration is now open for our February intake!
Start Date: Monday, February 12th and will run weekly for 12 weeks (with breaks for holidays), followed by 4 maintenance sessions.
Offered at: 10:30am at Cornell Public Library, Markham (3201 Bur Oak Ave.)
and 6:30pm at Markham Family Health Team (122 Cornell Park Ave.)
Space is limited, and choice of which session you can attend will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Free parking! No registration fee! All are welcome!
